Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Brewdog Manager of Finance will be a key leader for the accounting operations of a rapidly growing company. Responsibilities include assisting with the preparation of the consolidated financial statements, technical accounting analysis and memos, maintaining internal controls over financial reporting and other ad/hock projects. The Manager of Finance will play an integral role for process improvement in financial reporting, system implementations and optimizations, and overall mentorship of the development of the global accounting team. This position can be based in Toronto, ON, London, ON, Leamington, ON, Columbus, OH, Atlanta, GA. This position is a future opportunity.

Requirements

  • BA in Accounting or Finance with CPA, CA designation required
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in Big 4 public accounting firm preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SOX experience, and SEC reporting is considered an asset.
  • Experience with sophisticated ERP systems.
  • Self-motivated and detailed oriented individual who will drive process improvements.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills as well as presentation skills.
  • Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team coupled with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities within structured deadlines and deliverables.

Nice To Haves

  • US GAAP knowledge and experience with SEC reporting is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an in-depth and up to date knowledge and understanding of international accounting standards. US GAAP knowledge and experience with SEC reporting is considered an asset.
  • Assist with generating consolidated multi-currency financial statements, management reports and other financial reports to be used by the executive management team.
  • Evaluate and updates internal control policies, processes in relation to financial reporting in compliance with SOX.
  • Perform overall financial statement analytical reviews, variance analysis and review all subjective accounts.
  • Assist with managing the budget to actual review process with key department leaders across the organization.
  • Assist with process improvement and automation across all areas of Accounting/Finance.
  • Assist in the review the monthly close process, including review of journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations and analytical review procedures in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
