About The Position

We are Global Logistics – the Amazon division responsible for worldwide Ocean, Rail, Customs and emerging markets goods selection into a rapidly growing list of countries. We create new logistical benchmarks and “firsts” through disruptive innovation and we are experiencing hyper-growth. We are searching for an exceptionally talented, bright, and finance to own financial planning and analysis for our transportation offerings. You work collaboratively across a matrixed organization to define financial plans, measure financial performance, and identify risks and opportunities. The ability to manage the expectations of our leadership team, our stakeholders, customers, as well as members of the larger finance team is paramount. This is a hugely exciting role for a strategic finance professional to own a vital part of the success of our business. The right candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with interactions across a wide variety of e-commerce and logistics topics and stakeholders, including Demand, Product, Operations, and Pricing. As a Finance Manager you will build the financial plans for the worldwide business, you will understand critical business KPI's and levers within financial plans, and you will make recommendations based on opportunity. The scope for this role focuses on financial planning and analysis, financial strategy, and reporting/analytics design and automation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
• 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
• 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
• 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
• 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
• 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
• 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
• Bachelor's degree

Nice To Haves

• 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
• 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
• MBA, or CPA
• Knowledge of SQL/ETL
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
• Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
