About The Position

United Flow Technologies (UFT) is a Dallas-based, PE-backed provider of mission-critical water and wastewater (W&WW) solutions. Backed by Berkshire Partners and led by a world-class management team, UFT is the premier one-stop-shop technical distributor serving municipal water and wastewater plants across the U.S. — offering an exclusive line card of leading OEM products across Process Equipment, Pumps, Valves, and Automation & Controls. Since its founding, UFT has completed 24 strategic acquisitions and grown to a presence across 30+ states and $500M+ in revenue. The business operates in a large, non-discretionary market driven by aging infrastructure and regulatory demand, with ~92% of revenue tied to recurring maintenance spend and ~100% near-term gross profit visibility. UFT is actively executing on a robust M&A pipeline and organic growth playbook, with a clear roadmap to becoming a $300M+ EBITDA platform. UFT is seeking a driven Finance Manager to join the corporate finance team in Irving, TX. This is a high-visibility role with direct exposure to the VP of Finance, CFO, CEO, and Berkshire Partners. You will own core FP&A and finance processes, manage and enhance our Vena consolidation platform, and translate complex multi-entity data into the strategic insights that drive decision-making across a fast-growing platform. The ideal candidate brings a foundation in investment banking or private equity, combined with hands-on corporate finance experience. You are a forward thinker who embraces new technology, builds scalable processes, and communicates with confidence at every level of the organization.

  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools
  • Comfort working across large, complex datasets and distilling them into clear strategic insights
  • Experience in a multi-entity environment — consolidations, intercompany eliminations, entity-level reporting
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

Nice To Haves

  • Prior direct exposure to PE sponsors or institutional investors in a reporting or deal-support capacity
  • Experience with AI/automation tools such as Claude, scripting (Python, SQL), and/or workflow automation platforms
  • Background in distribution, industrial, or infrastructure-related businesses
  • CPA, CFA, or MBA

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning processes across the UFT platform
  • Build and maintain dynamic, multi-entity financial models to support scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and business decisions
  • Deliver insightful monthly variance analysis with clear narratives connecting financial performance to operational drivers
  • Serve as a primary power user and administrator of Vena, UFT's consolidation and planning platform
  • Design, build, and continuously improve Vena templates, workflows, and automated Power BI dashboards tracking bookings, shipments, backlog, and margin across 20+ entities
  • Identify and implement enhancements to streamline the close cycle and multi-entity reporting cadence
  • Extract, manipulate, and synthesize large datasets from multiple sources to surface actionable insights
  • Translate operational data — GP bookings, sales rep productivity, synergy capture, buy/resell mix — into compelling narratives for decision-makers
  • Partner with regional and TD leadership to develop KPI frameworks and performance dashboards
  • Leverage and build out an AI toolkit to enhance deliverables and workflows throughout the firm
  • Prepare and present high-quality materials to the CEO, CFO, Board of Directors, and Berkshire Partners
  • Support recurring PE reporting cycles and ad hoc requests; own post-acquisition financial integration reporting and synergy tracking
  • Proactively identify opportunities to automate workflows and introduce AI-powered tools into the finance function
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and champion adoption where it creates leverage
  • Contribute to cross-functional finance transformation initiatives as UFT scales toward its next phase of growth
