About The Position

At PNC, the Finance Manager within the Retail Finance organization provides financial support to the Customer Care Center function. This role involves financial analytics, reporting, and business case development for a rapidly changing business segment, focusing on new technologies, business growth, and operational efficiencies. Key responsibilities include typical finance functions such as budgeting and forecasting. Success in this role requires independent thinking, driving change, leading processes, and building strong relationships with business partners. The Finance Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the preparation of timely, transparent, and succinct financial reports to enable informed decision-making. This role also involves creating a high-performing, inclusive team, managing the annual budget cycle, continuous monthly forecasting, and developing long-term strategic plans. The manager reviews and interprets key financial forecasts and metric-driven performance dashboards to provide strategic business insights, structures on-demand analysis and reports, and collaborates with Accounting Policy on new accounting standard adoptions. Additionally, the role includes performing technical financial research, monitoring report preparation for audit, regulatory, and investor requests, communicating with external constituents, identifying and addressing control matters, and contributing to risk review. The position requires executive presence, effective communication with senior leaders, and the ability to influence colleagues across all organizational levels, fostering partnerships across departments for alignment and shared success.   • 5+ years of industry-relevant experience
  • At least 3 years of prior management experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial support to the Customer Care Center function within the Retail Finance team.
  • Provide financial analytics, reporting and business case development to a rapidly changing business segment.
  • Perform typical finance functions, including budgeting and forecasting for these segments.
  • Assist and challenge business partners in the support of business growth and efficiency realization.
  • Perform financial modeling and business case development for new capital investments (technology or human capital).
  • Provide oversight for a variety of routine financial management and accounting activities (e.g. month-end close, financial reporting, variance analysis, etc.).
  • Lead and direct 1 finance specialist in support of this business segment.
  • Manage and oversee preparation of timely, transparent, and succinct financial reports to enable informed decision-making by stakeholders.
  • Work to create a high performing inclusive team.
  • Manage a smaller team supporting a business sub-segment or functional unit.
  • Manage annual budget cycle and continuous monthly forecasting.
  • Manage development of long term strategic plans.
  • Review and interpret key financial forecasts and metric-driven performance dashboards to inform strategic business insights.
  • Structure and manage on-demand analysis and reports to address specific business needs.
  • Work closely with Accounting Policy on new accounting standard adoptions affecting their business.
  • Perform technical financial research and documentation on issues affecting their business.
  • Structure and monitor the preparation of reports and analysis in response to requests and requirements of audit, regulatory, and investors.
  • Communicate directly with external constituents.
  • Promptly identify and address control matters; maintain sound control processes.
  • Contribute to risk review and challenge for assigned business.
