As a Finance Manager within PNC's Retail Finance organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA. This role’s primary responsibility is to provide financial support to the Customer Care Center function with the Retail Finance team. The candidate will provide financial analytics, reporting and business case development to a rapidly changing business segment as they evolve with new technologies and business growth while simultaneously seeking operational efficiencies. This role will perform typical finance functions, including budgeting and forecasting for these segments. The ability to think independently, drive change, lead processes, and build relationships with business partners will be keys to success in the role. The Finance Manager manages and oversees preparation of timely, transparent, and succinct financial reports to enable informed decision-making by stakeholders. This role works to create a high performing inclusive team and generally manages a smaller team supporting a business sub-segment or functional unit. Responsibilities include managing the annual budget cycle and continuous monthly forecasting, as well as developing long term strategic plans. The manager reviews and interprets key financial forecasts and metric-driven performance dashboards to inform strategic business insights, and structures and manages on-demand analysis and reports to address specific business needs. They work closely with Accounting Policy on new accounting standard adoptions affecting their business, perform technical financial research and documentation, and structure and monitor the preparation of reports and analysis in response to requests and requirements of audit, regulatory, and investors. The role requires direct communication with external constituents, prompt identification and addressing of control matters, and maintenance of sound control processes. The Finance Manager may also contribute to risk review and challenge for assigned business, demonstrating executive presence and the ability to effectively communicate directly with senior leaders and influence colleagues across all organization levels, forging partnerships across departments for alignment and shared success. Responsibilities

  • Assist and challenge business partners in the support of business growth and efficiency realization
  • Financial modeling and business case development for new capital investments (technology or human capital)
  • Provide oversight for a variety of routine financial management and accounting activities (e.g. month-end close, financial reporting, variance analysis, etc.)
  • Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Lead and direct 1 finance specialist in support of this business segment
  • Manages and oversees preparation of timely, transparent, and succinct financial reports to enable informed decision-making by stakeholders
