The Finance & Strategy Leadership Development Program (FSLDP) is a career opportunity for candidates interested in continuing professional development and becoming a key contributor at Amgen. The program consists of three 12-month rotations, totaling 3 years within the finance organization. This program is dedicated to sculpting future leaders for the organization.

Requirements

  • 18 years or older
  • Currently enrolled in final year of an MBA program
  • Scheduled to graduate no later than summer 2027
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 in current program

Nice To Haves

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent social skills, and the ability to interact well with all levels of management
  • Strong leadership ability and a phenomenal teammate
  • Three or more years of experience in performing sophisticated financial modeling
  • Biotechnology, pharmaceutical or health care industry experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial analysis services to area(s) assigned, potentially any department in Finance
  • Prepare long-range plans, annual budgets, strategic assessments, investment analysis, forecasts and/or review actual results of operations compared to forecasts
  • Provide analytical support to senior management related to key decisions, such as capital budgeting and pricing analyses
  • See opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost savings within the functional area, present those opportunities to leadership, and assist in implementing them
  • Develop benchmarks to evaluate prioritization, relative efficiencies, and portfolio management of the functional area
  • Educate senior management and staff of functional areas regarding Company financial policies and procedures and assist them in interpreting and applying those policies
  • Collaborate with other areas of Finance as needed
