About The Position

Amazon’s North American Customer Fulfillment (NACF) Finance is looking for a Finance Manager to drive financial analysis and optimization initiatives for the US Amazon Robotics Sortable (USARS) network. This role supports a rapidly expanding business by building a connected network of fulfillment centers, delivery stations, sort centers, vans, box trucks, and technology to deliver customers' packages on time. The Finance Manager will focus on inputs, think like an owner, and operate with a "Day One" mentality. The US Amazon Robotics Sortable (USARS) Finance team closely partners across Operations and program teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
  • 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
  • 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
  • 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
  • 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
  • 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
  • 5+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
  • 5+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience

Nice To Haves

  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
  • MBA, or CPA
  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

  • Drive a nationwide agenda focused on optimization, efficiency, and data-driven insights.
  • Leverage advanced data analysis techniques to uncover actionable insights and drive substantial cost savings across multiple organizations and stakeholders.
  • Translate complex financial findings into compelling narratives through exceptional writing skills.
  • Craft clear, persuasive documents that effectively communicate intricate financial concepts to influence strategic decisions of senior leaders.
  • Lead extensive cross-functional initiatives, navigating complex organizational structures and aligning diverse stakeholders towards common goals.
  • Contribute to broader end-to-end operations.
  • Deliver forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.
