About The Position

The Finance Manager supports the financial objectives of the accounting and finance department by overseeing critical financial operations and assisting operating departments with budgeting, forecasting, inventory control, and financial analysis. This role is responsible for ensuring financial compliance and accuracy while providing insights to support the unit’s performance. Additionally, the Finance Manager plays an integral part in operational responsibilities for the unit, ensuring that financial practices align with the overall strategic goals. The Finance Manager will work directly with the lead operator at the account and enforce procedures that maximize profit by ensuring operational targets, internal control of inventories, cash, and equipment. The Finance Manager is accountable for managing the financial close process, cash flow, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, and capital expenditures. The role requires leadership in the budgeting and forecasting processes, as well as collaboration with senior management to ensure effective financial decision-making. The Finance Manager also participates in special projects, contract negotiations, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in financial systems and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial processes, including cash flow management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and profit and loss (P&L) management.
  • Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial controls.
  • Experience in managing financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive financial experience, preferably in AP/AR, payroll, and P&L management or relevant industry experience.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial insights clearly to stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work event-based hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to meet physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.
  • Compliance with uniform requirements and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee cash flow, cash and banking, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, and capital expenditures.
  • Manage the weekly and monthly accounting close process to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to support operational leadership.
  • Lead the weekly financial roll-up process.
  • Oversee the budgeting and forecasting process with input from senior on-site management.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis for clients as required.
  • Participate in special projects, including contract negotiations and operational changes.
  • Ensure all financial records and reports adhere to Aramark’s Business Conduct Policy and comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Train and develop operations teams on financial acumen and adherence to financial policies.
