About The Position

Milestone Funeral Partners is seeking a proactive, analytically minded Finance Manager – FP&A to lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial integration activities across its growing portfolio. This is a hands-on, manager-level individual contributor role with meaningful ownership and executive visibility. The position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and supports continued growth through acquisitions and partnerships. The Finance Manager will lead financial planning and analysis and coordinate the financial integration of newly acquired funeral homes. Working with Finance, Accounting, M&A, Integration, and Operations, the role will help standardize reporting across locations, strengthen financial systems and processes, and provide actionable insights for business decisions. The position is primarily remote, with a preference for candidates in the Greater Portland, Maine area. Remote candidates throughout New England will be considered. Periodic onsite presence in Lewiston/Auburn and limited acquisition-related travel are required. The Finance Manager will own monthly reporting, variance analysis, KPIs, budgeting, forecasting, financial models, and selected recurring reports. The role also supports the CFO with board materials, lender requests, special projects, and acquisition decisions; develops finance-side proficiency in NetSuite and NSPB; and helps transition reporting to a scalable, system-based process. Responsibilities include maintaining and executing a standard integration checklist, onboarding historical financials, establishing reporting structures and operational finance arrangements, incorporating acquired entities into NetSuite and reporting and budgeting cycles, and tracking performance against underwriting. The role is not responsible for technical accounting or general ledger activity. The company describes its culture as collaborative and focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
