About The Position

Our client is a small holding group that owns and runs several businesses, currently including a software company for property managers and two service businesses in inspections and property management. More companies may join the group over time. Each company maintains its own books with a bookkeeper handling daily entries. The group requires a dedicated finance professional to ensure the accuracy of financial data and to support the CEO and investors in making informed decisions. This role is the finance lead for the entire group, overseeing all current and future companies, and reporting directly to the CEO. While bookkeepers manage transactions, this position is responsible for verifying the accuracy of the books and transforming the data into insightful reports tailored to the needs of the CEO and investors. A significant aspect of the role involves external communication, including presenting financial results to investors and preparing companies for tax filings. The position will also contribute a financial perspective to strategic decisions such as budgeting and the establishment of new companies, alongside enhancing financial processes within each entity, from month-end close to cash, accounts payable, and accounts receivable management. Success will be measured by the reliability of monthly reports for the CEO and investors, and the scalability of the finance infrastructure to accommodate future company acquisitions.
