The Sustainability Finance team is looking for a Finance Manager to lead finance support for Amazon’s sustainability regulatory disclosure readiness and Climate Risk assessments. This will include working closely with stakeholders across the central Sustainability organization to track in-force regulations in markets where Amazon operates, synthesizing insights extracted from large and complex data, calculating metrics relevant to regulations including owning Amazon's climate risk modeling, presenting results to VP-level executives, and working with 3rd party assurance partners. This role requires a high degree of ownership and ability to work independently. Beyond these core responsibilities, this individual will have the opportunity to influence strategic decision-making, build and establish workstreams, and provide insights cross-organizationally that drive meaningful financial and sustainability value. This will require the ideal candidate to leverage their expertise in areas like financial modeling, accounting, project management, and executive-level communication skills. About the team The Sustainability Finance team supports the management of Amazon’s social and environmental impact globally and partners to drive solutions that enable our customers and our business to become more sustainable. With the Climate Pledge, Amazon publicly committed to measure and report greenhouse gas emissions and to achieve net-zero emissions in 2040 by physically de-carbonizing its business activities and neutralize remaining residual emissions. Executing this plan is a complex strategic and financial undertaking that requires thorough and careful financial consideration.
