Finance Lead

Revin•New York, NY
•$150,000 - $200,000•Onsite

About The Position

Revin is hiring its first finance employee to build the company’s finance function from the ground up. Reporting into work with the VP of Operations and company leadership, the Finance Lead will own the financial model, forecast, close, billing, collections, and the systems and processes that support the company’s financial operations. This is a hands-on founding role with no team initially; the hire will establish the function and hire for it as Revin scales. The role owns financial planning and analysis as well as core accounting operations: maintaining a board-ready model, managing month-end close, overseeing order-to-cash, monitoring burn and runway, supporting capital strategy and fundraising, and analyzing unit economics and return on investment. The Finance Lead will also implement tools, controls, and recurring processes, automate manual work, and develop playbooks for future finance hires. This is a full-time, on-site position in New York City, with a base salary of $150,000–$200,000 and substantial equity. The posting expects 50+ hour work weeks and describes an ambitious, fast-moving environment without an established playbook.

Requirements

  • Hands-on ownership of financial modeling, close, and reporting.
  • Strong financial modeling skills, including building models from scratch, defending assumptions, and presenting to a board.
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets and comfort with accounting and billing systems.
  • Initiative and a bias toward action, including willingness to ship an initial version, learn, and iterate.
  • Willingness to own the full finance function, including close, billing, and collections.
  • Willingness to work 50+ hours per week.
  • Interest in applying AI to the built world and working in an environment without an established playbook.

Nice To Haves

  • Education from a top-tier, highly selective, academically rigorous institution and/or experience at a top-performing SaaS or AI company.
  • Advanced degree.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain the financial model used by leadership and the board; own the forecast, defend assumptions, and update the model as business conditions change.
  • Own the end-to-end month-end close, including accruals, reconciliations, and timely, reliable financial statements; improve the close process over time.
  • Manage the order-to-cash cycle, including invoicing, collections, and revenue integrity.
  • Own burn, runway, and scenario planning; build dashboards and board materials to support decision-making and partner on fundraising when needed.
  • Analyze pricing, gross margin, customer acquisition cost and payback, cohort economics, and the return on investment of major spending and product decisions.
  • Establish finance tooling, controls, and operating cadences; automate recurring work and create playbooks for future finance hires.
  • Build the finance function and hire for it as the company scales.
