About The Position

Glaukos is seeking a Finance Lead that will serve as a strategic partner to the R&D organization, delivering financial insights that support informed decision-making, effective resource allocation, and operational excellence. This role will oversee financial planning, reporting, and analysis while supporting initiatives that improve financial accuracy, efficiency, and visibility across the R&D portfolio.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or a related field.
5+ years of relevant finance experience.
Experience developing complex financial models in Excel.
Hands-on experience with Oracle, SAP, or a comparable ERP system.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Medical device, pharmaceutical, or R&D finance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead month-end close activities, quarterly forecasts, and annual planning for the global R&D function.
Develop and maintain study-level financial trackers for budgets, spending, purchase commitments, invoices, and remaining funding.
Prepare variance analyses and identify financial risks and opportunities.
Partner with Accounting to ensure timely and accurate accruals.
Provide financial guidance to department leaders on budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
Use analytics, automation, and visualization tools to improve reporting and decision support.
Support business cases for strategic initiatives and product launches.
Collaborate with teams across R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Audit.
