About The Position

This is a full-time paid internship program spanning ten weeks from June through August 2027. Participation in the internship requires that you are located in the continental United States with in-person attendance in our McLean offices, in accordance with Capital One’s hybrid working model, for the duration of the program. Interns will be evaluated for a full-time position within our Finance Rotation Program, with a start date in July 2028 following the completion of the internship. At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization, or offer any immigration related support for this position (e.g. H1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 STEM OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1, TN, E-3, and O-1, or any other forms of work authorization that require immigration support from an employer). Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher with an expectation that you will complete your most recent full-time degree program by July 2028 or earlier (for example: If you are graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in May 2027 and are also currently enrolled in a full-time Master’s degree program with an expected graduation date of May 2028, then your most recent full-time degree program is your Master’s degree)
  • Must be continuing in the same course of study of your most recent full-time degree program following completion of the internship
  • A demonstrated interest in financial management, technology aptitude and digital learning
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
  • Desire to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment

Nice To Haves

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering or relevant major

Responsibilities

  • Driving new insights and efficiencies through specific project-based work using data visualizations tools, and data manipulation / modeling skills (i.e. Python, SQL)
  • Analyzing key business drivers such as customer and asset volume, attrition, losses and margins
  • Improving forecasting models through the analysis of key business trends
  • Assisting in the filing of externally reported financial statements
