About The Position

Everforth ECS CS is seeking a Finance Intern to work in our Fairfax, VA office. Everforth ECS Federal is seeking a motivated Finance Intern to join our team supporting federal financial management operations. This internship offers hands-on experience in government financial planning, budgeting, and execution processes.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Responsibilities

• Assist financial analysts with federal financial planning, programming, budgeting, and financial execution activities
• Support the development and analysis of budget documentation, including contributions to the president's budget and program objective memorandum
• Help prepare responses to congressional inquiries and other stakeholder requests
• Learn and utilize the Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI) financial management and accounting system
• Compile and organize financial data for reporting and analysis
• Participate in budget cycle activities and documentation preparation
• Assist with data entry, reconciliation, and financial record maintenance
• Support the team with administrative tasks and special projects as assigned
