The Finance Intern at PURIS will support the weekly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, assist with variance analysis, and help maintain the company’s financial forecast under the direction of the CFO and finance team. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in FP&A at a PE-backed food manufacturing company, working directly with cross-functional teams and with exposure to board-level reporting. The internship is designed for students graduating in 2026 who are eager to apply classroom knowledge in a fast-paced, operationally complex business.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • Expected graduation in 2026
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
  • Coursework in financial analysis, accounting, or statistics preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts)
  • Familiarity with financial statements and basic accounting concepts
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in manufacturing, food/agriculture, or private equity a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing weekly S&OP materials including data gathering, report formatting, and dashboard updates
  • Help reconcile demand and supply assumptions by coordinating with sales and operations contacts
  • Maintain and organize S&OP data files and tracking documents
  • Assist with monthly budget-vs-actual and forecast-vs-actual variance calculations
  • Help prepare variance commentary and supporting schedules for leadership review
  • Build and maintain templates for bridge charts and variance summaries
  • Support updates to the company’s rolling financial forecast with data collection and model inputs
  • Perform ad hoc data analysis and research as directed by the finance team
  • Assist with the annual budgeting process and special projects
