About The Position

The Acuity Inc. Internship Program offers a 10–12-week immersive experience (June – August, 40 hours/week) designed to cultivate high-potential candidates through hands-on projects and real-world experiences. Interns will align their strengths and interests with the strategic needs of the business. In addition to contributing to impactful projects and transformative processes, interns will have the opportunity to network with leaders across Acuity Inc. We prefer interns who have one or two semesters remaining in their degree program, as they will be eligible for our BUILD Program upon completing the internship. Our BUILD Program is a full-time, entry-level rotational program that allows recent graduates to explore various areas within a functional domain. These experiences enable young talent to expand their skill set, build their network within the company, and discover their passions early in their careers.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree
  • Relevant internship or project experience
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Experience leading teams or organizations

  • One or two semesters remaining in their degree program

Responsibilities

  • Drive both business and financial decisions through the ownership of an individual intern project.
  • Be exposed to key processes including monthly reporting and close, financial analyses, annual forecasting and more.
  • Work closely with and be placed across our departments including FP&A, Accounting, Internal Audit, Investor Relations, Treasury, and Tax.
  • Spearhead the development of a dynamic financial model tailored for the CFO's strategic decision-making regarding corporate owned insurance policies.
  • Work with finance team to design and maintain financial models to drive action of business partners.
  • Work cross-functionally with Internal Audit team and IT partners on high-impact initiative to utilize key systems and drive risk-assessment analyses.
  • Analyze working capital to drive forecasting inputs and drive business outcomes.
