About The Position
The Baker Hughes Internship Program is designed for students pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree to gain hands-on work experience. Interns will receive first-hand insights into the processes, systems, and practices that ensure customer needs are met through flawless execution and the application of leading-edge technology. Participants will engage in focused training, team meetings, project work, and presentations, supported by a buddy and manager. The program includes coaching and mentoring to aid in completing assignments and projects, fostering learning and skill development. Interns will also become familiar with Baker Hughes' Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) culture, as well as its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's level degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a business-related program.
- Maintained a GPA grade greater than or equal to 3.0 out of 4.0 or the equivalent.
- Fluent in oral and written English and possess effective communication skills.
- Able to relocate for the duration of the internship (locations vary).
- Authorized to work in the United States and maintain work authorization throughout employment without requiring sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in financial analysis tasks, such as analyzing financial statements, budget variances, and performance metrics to provide insights to management.
- Participating in the budgeting and forecasting processes, including data collection, modelling, and variance analysis.
- Preparing financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide accurate financial information to stakeholders.
- Assisting with internal and external audits by providing requested financial information and supporting audit procedures.
- Utilizing financial software and tools, such as accounting software or spreadsheet applications, to perform financial analysis and reporting tasks.
- Applying Health, Safety, and Environment (HS&E) standards and procedures in all situations to ensure compliance is maintained.
