About The Position

Holmes Murphy is hiring a Finance Intern for its 10-week Summer 2027 Internship Program in the West Des Moines, Iowa office. The internship provides exposure to financial reporting, insurance and vendor payables, treasury, and accounts receivable. Interns will gain practical experience and develop skills in a collaborative, on-site environment, with opportunities to learn from finance professionals and leaders across the company.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as an undergraduate pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or another related field.

Nice To Haves

• Prior work experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the accounts receivable team with recording payments received to client accounts and validating completed work.
• Prepare reconciliations and help finance teams reconcile information to the general ledger.
• Analyze financial data and assist with client account transitions, historical data requests, and other ad hoc requests.
• Help document internal controls and processes surrounding various transaction cycles.
