About The Position

The Finance Intern will support the Finance team in day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, and administrative activities while gaining practical experience in a corporate finance environment. Working under the supervision of experienced finance professionals, the intern will contribute to a range of activities related to financial data, reporting, reconciliations, documentation, and process support. The Finance Intern will collaborate with team members within Finance and across departments to support the delivery of accurate, timely, and high-quality work, while learning and applying relevant accounting principles, internal controls, company procedures, and business processes.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in accounting, finance, corporate reporting, and business operations.
  • Basic understanding of accounting and financial principles.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel; knowledge of accounting systems or ERP tools is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good time management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; French is an asset.
  • Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential financial information.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop in a professional environment.

  • Knowledge of accounting systems or ERP tools is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Finance team in daily accounting and administrative tasks.
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoice review, coding, tracking, and follow-up.
  • Help prepare, review, and organize financial documentation and supporting records.
  • Assist with bank, credit card, vendor, or general ledger reconciliations under supervision.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities, as needed.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports, schedules, summaries, and analyses.
  • Help maintain accurate financial data in accounting systems and internal tracking tools.
  • Participate in quality control activities related to financial documentation and data accuracy.
  • Help organize finance files, track deliverables, and support the team in meeting internal timelines.
  • Contribute to internal projects, process improvement initiatives, or documentation updates related to Finance.
  • Learn about accounting practices, financial controls, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
  • Learn and adapt to relevant departmental tools, systems, and procedures.
  • Support the preparation of presentations, reports, or internal documentation.
  • Attend team and cross-functional meetings as appropriate.
  • Provide general administrative or project support to the Finance team, depending on business needs.
