About The Position

The Finance Intern (FP&A) reports to the WHQ Financial Planning & Analysis Manager and works closely with finance and accounting colleagues across headquarters and business units. The role provides hands-on experience related to the student’s field of study, exposure to finance systems including OneStream, PowerBI, and Workiva, and opportunities to build a professional network. The intern will also gain exposure to finance automation tools and process improvement strategies. The position is suited to a student interested in a career in finance, accounting, external reporting, or finance systems.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a bachelor's and/or master's degree in accounting or finance.
• Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Be able to work 20–30 hours per week in a hybrid format and live within driving distance of the headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
• Be motivated and curious, with strong analytical skills.
• Be proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with analytical tools such as PowerBI and Snowflake.

Responsibilities

• Support budgeting and forecasting processes by monitoring business unit deliverables and ensuring tasks are completed on time.
• Assist with finance consolidations and preparation of presentation materials for Executive Leadership.
• Participate in initiatives to automate manual processes using financial systems and artificial intelligence.
