About The Position

Fervo Energy is developing next-generation geothermal power to deliver firm, carbon-free energy at scale, anchored by our flagship Cape Station facility in Milford, Utah, one of the largest next-generation geothermal developments in the world. As a Finance Intern, you'll support Fervo's Finance team across Corporate Finance and Corporate Development work that helps guide the company's growth. You'll build financial models, support budgeting and forecasting, and gain exposure to how a fast-growing energy company plans and finances its next phase of growth.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Master's degree or MBA (this role is not open to undergraduate or PhD candidates) — we're building a pipeline toward full-time offers
• Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting to stakeholders and leadership
• Eagerness to learn, take initiative, and adapt quickly to new challenges
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (financial modeling, three-statement models, sensitivity analysis) and PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, management consulting, or a related field is a plus
• Experience with corporate finance, FP&A, or investment analysis
• Interest in the energy industry

Responsibilities

• Support corporate development activities, including market research, competitive analysis, and evaluation of new business opportunities
• Support financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including budgeting and forecasting
• Assist with capital markets activities, including investor materials
• Build and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making
• Assist with ad hoc financial analysis for corporate initiatives
