About The Position

Red Leaf Developments is seeking an experienced Finance & Human Resources Manager to support our CEO, lead our administrative team, and oversee key human resources and business operations functions. This is a hands-on leadership role for a proactive, organized professional who can manage multiple priorities, strengthen internal processes, and support a growing construction company. The ideal candidate brings sound judgment, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to handle sensitive financial, employee, and company information with professionalism and discretion. This position will serve as a trusted partner to the CEO while helping ensure Red Leaf's administrative and HR operations run efficiently and consistently.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in business operations, finance, administration, or a related function
  • Experience managing HR processes and internal business systems
  • Experience leading, supervising, or developing team members
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and spreadsheets or database systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in the construction industry
  • Experience supporting senior-level executives or business owners
  • Knowledge of construction financial operations, including work in progress (WIP), job costing, retainage, and billing
  • Experience supporting accounting, compliance, insurance, or business administration functions within a construction environment

Responsibilities

  • Manage workers' compensation claims and related documentation
  • Facilitate employee health benefits administration and annual open enrollment
  • Manage the company's 401(k) plan in partnership with the CEO
  • Oversee employee hiring, onboarding, and performance management processes
  • Oversee and support Red Leaf's employee safety program
  • Maintain appropriate confidentiality when handling employee and HR-related information
  • Support the CEO with high-priority operational and administrative initiatives
  • Prepare and communicate company-wide announcements and organizational updates
  • Manage executive expense reporting, receipt collection, and reimbursements
  • Lead or coordinate special projects as assigned
  • Handle sensitive financial, HR, and strategic company information with discretion and sound judgment
  • Lead and manage the administrative team, including functions related to accounting, facilities, fleet, and warranty
  • Coordinate tax preparation activities with the CEO and external CPA
  • Support legal, insurance, licensing, and safety compliance in coordination with external partners
  • Help maintain effective internal administrative processes and systems across the organization
