About The Position

The Finance Director will serve in several roles, supporting the overall Recycling performance and strategy implementation in close cooperation with VP Recycling North America. This role will be a key resource for VP Finance & Strategy in BU Recycling to provide support for financial reporting and performance monitoring on Recycling activities in North America. The Finance Director will also drive the improvement of the finance function in Recycling North America together with the Finance Managers at the plants. Additionally, the Finance Director will serve as Board member and Treasurer for several legal entities in Canada, USA and Mexico, which come with broad financial and reporting obligations, including treasury and cash management for the entities. This role requires a balanced combination of strategic leadership and hands-on execution. The Finance Director is expected both to shape long-term financial direction, and to engage directly in operational finance, detailed analysis, and execution of core financial processes to ensure accuracy, speed, and high-quality decision support.

Requirements

  • MBA or at least 10+ years of business/professional experience
  • Proven finance leadership in manufacturing or similar industries, with experience managing both growth and downturn cycles.
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills with the ability to turn financial insights into actionable plans.
  • Deep financial expertise, including accounting principles, regulations, reporting, and risk management.
  • Skilled communicator and team leader with experience presenting to executives and guiding high‑performing finance teams.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Lead hedging and risk management for the legal entity, ensuring accurate execution and compliance.
  • Oversee capital structure and funding needs to support financial stability.
  • Ensure accurate, timely statutory financial reporting and full financial/tax compliance for all legal entities.
  • Deliver internal management reporting, forecasts, and financial insights for the North America Recycling unit.
  • Drive annual budgeting, long‑term planning, KPI development, performance analysis, and capex follow‑up.
  • Support growth initiatives—including investments, M&A evaluations, and strategic business cases.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the finance organization while driving process simplification, digitization, and automation.
