Finance Director, Planning & Growth Finance at a glance…. The Director, Planning & Growth Finance leads long-range financial planning and the CAPEX growth finance agenda for North America, partnering with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to translate the Region business priorities into integrated long-range and annual financial plans. This individual leads the long-range financial planning process and provides financial leadership across CAPEX growth investments and capital allocation. The role is responsible for setting targets, guiding resource allocation, building the full North America Region P&L, evaluating business and planning choices, and delivering clear insights and recommendations that improve decision-making and support sustainable growth. This individual also leads a team and serves as a trusted finance partner across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field required.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience; experience in financial planning, corporate finance, FP&A, growth finance, category finance, and/or CAPEX preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead enterprise planning processes and translate business priorities into integrated financial plans.
  • Strong financial modeling, analytical, and scenario-planning skills, with the ability to evaluate complex investments and trade-offs.
  • Broad commercial and business acumen, including an understanding of growth drivers, portfolio choices, and capital allocation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level storytelling and presentation capabilities.
  • Advanced Excel and financial systems skills, with the agility to work across multiple data sources and planning tools.
  • Ability to recognize opportunities to simplify processes, strengthen governance, and create sustainable efficiencies.
  • Motivated self-starter who can effectively work under pressure, navigate ambiguity, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, develop talent, and deliver results through others.
  • Collaborative business partner with the ability to challenge constructively, influence senior stakeholders, and build alignment without direct authority.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the North America long-range financial planning process, including development of the long-range plan, annual operating plan, and key planning checkpoints.
  • Lead the annual financial planning cycle, coordinating cross-functional inputs, establishing planning calendars and deliverables, and ensuring one aligned plan.
  • Build and manage the full North America Region P&L for long-range and annual planning, including target setting, financial profiles, scenario analysis, and risks and opportunities.
  • Guide resource allocation across growth priorities and capital investments using fact-based analysis and financial planning benchmarks.
  • Partner with senior leaders and business teams to evaluate growth investments, quantify expected financial impact, and develop clear recommendations and trade-offs.
  • Provide financial leadership across planning and forecasting activities, including performance visibility and decision support.
  • Lead finance support for growth initiatives, including business case development, portfolio analysis, investment tracking, and post-implementation review.
  • Lead the North America CAPEX finance, planning, and governance agenda, including prioritization, forecasting, performance routines, and visibility to project risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare executive-level analyses, management summaries, and presentations for senior leadership, translating complex financial and planning information into clear decisions and actions.
  • Lead, develop, and influence a high-performing team while driving simplification, stronger planning routines, and continuous improvement across Planning & Growth Finance.
