What You Will Do: Pratt & Whitney Component Repairs in Wichita Falls, TX is a leader in hot section component repair supporting Pratt & Whitney Canada’s OEM and aftermarket businesses. As the Finance Controller, you will serve as a trusted business partner to site leadership, providing financial insight and strategic guidance that directly supports operational and business performance. In this highly visible role, you will have direct leadership responsibility, oversee site financial reporting and controls, and partner closely with senior leaders across the site and broader organization to drive accountability, improve performance, and support business decisions. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a world-class aerospace organization while gaining broad exposure to both finance and manufacturing operations. This role is onsite at our Component Repair facility in Wichita Falls, Texas and serves as a key strategic partner to the business.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a minimum of 8 years of Accounting experience, OR an Advanced Degree and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
- A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) or a professional designation such as the chartered professional accountant (CPA).
- Previous experience as an Assistant Controller, Controller, or a similar leadership role in a manufacturing environment with P&L ownership
- Previous cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient project management and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced aerospace environment
- Adaptable, autonomous with a positive attitude.
- Strong knowledge of Excel
- Previous experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
Responsibilities
- Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions as well as hiring, training and retaining skilled accounting staff
- Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results
- Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements, and activities of internal and external auditors
- Provide management team with information vital to the decision-making process
- Leading the budget process to identify opportunities and drive business performance
- Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
