Requirements

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) required with 7–15 years of experience in controllership, accounting, or finance operations.
  • Experience in a multinational or global reporting environment is important.
  • Strong understanding of India GAAP/India AS with working familiarity of US GAAP.
  • Familiarity with STPI/SEZ compliance , FEMA/RBI guidelines , and intercompany billing models common in SaaS setup.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working with external vendors such as Big4 or accounting firms is preferred.
  • Exposure to transfer pricing or APA is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close for India with a focus on clean, accurate, and predictable reporting.
  • Improve the quality of accruals, provisions, and reconciliations, and ensure all outputs are consolidation-ready for global reporting.
  • Act as the single point of accountability for India finance.
  • Drive follow-ups, ensure closure on open items, and bring structure, visibility, and discipline across all finance activities.
  • Own statutory compliance (GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act, PF, etc.) with zero missed filings.
  • Ensure the organization is audit-ready at all times, and manage statutory, tax, and internal audits end-to-end while closing observations with sustainable fixes.
  • Take full ownership of outputs from external partners (Vistra, BDO, etc.).
  • Review, challenge, and elevate the quality of deliverables, ensuring they are aligned with business context.
  • Move from dependency to strong internal control and oversight.
  • Take ownership of all employee and operational expenses in India, including review and approval of budgets and spends.
  • Ensure policy adherence, strengthen controls, and drive visibility and discipline across expense management.
  • Work closely with internal teams to understand business drivers and improve the accuracy and relevance of financial reporting.
  • Bring context into numbers and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure continuity and follow-through on transfer pricing and APA-related matters.
  • Coordinate effectively with tax advisors and ensure compliance in intercompany transactions and reporting.
  • Strengthen processes, documentation, and controls to support growth.
  • Improve systems and workflows, and over time reduce reliance on outsourced partners by building stronger internal capabilities.
