About The Position

The Director of Finance is a strategic finance leader responsible for driving accounts receivable performance, ensuring contract compliance, and partnering with operations and business development to enable profitable growth. This role serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, delivering financial insight, discipline, and accountability across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required
  • 5–7 years of progressive finance experience with ownership of AR and cash flow
  • Experience with contract compliance, audits, and financial controls
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and operational teams
  • Advanced Excel and financial reporting tools

  • Experience supporting pricing, business development, or growth initiatives preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead accounts receivable performance, including cash collections, DSO, billing accuracy, and bad debt management
  • Drive strategies to improve cash flow, reduce delinquency, and strengthen collection practices
  • Monitor AR trends and KPIs to identify risk and improvement opportunities
  • Ensure timely, accurate invoicing and resolution of billing discrepancies across complex contracts
  • Partner with operations and client teams to resolve escalated collection issues and improve customer outcomes
  • Standardize processes and implement best practices to drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure financial activity aligns with contract terms, pricing, and service commitments
  • Partner with operations to validate compliance in revenue recognition and billing structures
  • Support audits, contract reviews, and financial control assessments
  • Enforce internal controls, policies, and corporate compliance standards
  • Identify and mitigate financial and contractual risk across client agreements
  • Support renewals, rebids, and contract close-out activities
  • Partner with business development and operations to support new business, renewals, and retention
  • Develop and review pro formas, pricing models, and ROI analyses
  • Provide financial insight and scenario modeling to inform deal structure and growth strategy
  • Support proposal development and due diligence activities
  • Deliver clear, actionable financial reporting and analysis to executive leadership
  • Translate complex financial data for non-financial stakeholders
  • Establish performance metrics aligned to business goals
  • Lead forecasting and cash flow projections tied to AR and contracts
  • Promote accountability, transparency, and financial discipline
  • Lead, develop, and mentor finance team members supporting AR and contract oversight
  • Set performance expectations and support team development
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships across operations, sales, legal, and corporate finance
