Requirements

Knowledge of accounting and office procedures.
General knowledge of the functions and activities of an Authority.
Ability to perform mathematical computations with speed and accuracy.
Ability to speak and write clearly, and understand and follow written and oral directions.
Ability to operate standard office and computer equipment.

Responsibilities

Gathers and matches accounts payable documentation and approvals, responds to and inquires of vendors, maintains open and paid files, and archives records via scans of all documents.
Produce weekly reports for the accounting supervisor to include upcoming electronic payments, and account payables.
Responsible for maintaining proper vendor W-9 information, updating vendor certificates of insurance, and producing annual 1099s for contracted vendors.
Performs fare box reconciliation, using appropriate counting machinery.
Prepares bank deposits of farebox coin and currency as required for pick up by armored carrier.
Prepares reports and deposit tickets for accounting staff as required to document and substantiate deposit amounts.
Delivers Trip Tickets to various local outlets.
Completes regular updates to the standard operating procedures (SOP) documentation for this position.
