About The Position

The Finance Business Partner (FBP) Senior Analyst is a key financial advisor supporting delivery teams and program leadership across federal government contracts. In this role, you will manage end-to-end project financials, deliver accurate forecasting, drive compliance, and provide analytical insights that strengthen contract execution and financial outcomes. You will partner across Delivery, PMO, Contract Management, and Controllership to ensure financial integrity, operational efficiency, and high-quality reporting. This position is ideal for candidates who are detail-oriented, analytically strong, and eager to influence program financial health through data-driven decision support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field
  • 1–2 years of experience in financial analysis, program finance, federal contracting finance, or related disciplines
  • Experience with financial forecasting, variance analysis, and project-level financial reporting
  • Familiarity with U.S. GAAP principles and federal compliance considerations
  • Strong analytical ability with demonstrated experience interpreting financial data and communicating insights
  • Proficiency in financial tools (Excel or equivalent analytic tools).
  • Ability to collaborate with delivery teams and communicate financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting federal government contracts or federally funded programs
  • Experience with working capital management, billing processes, or accruals
  • Exposure to ERP or financial systems used in program finance environments
  • Experience contributing to process improvements or financial operations enhancements
  • Prior advisory experience supporting project managers or operational leaders

Responsibilities

  • Lead contract-level forecasting activities, including gathering inputs, analyzing trends and variances, and presenting results to delivery and account leadership
  • Review monthly financial results to ensure accurate cost postings, revenue recognition, and compliance with U.S. GAAP and federal requirements
  • Manage working capital balances through unbilled reviews, inventory reconciliations, invoicing tracking, and cash-flow optimization
  • Maintain high-quality financial records, including sales bookings, time charging, accruals, and journal entries
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to delivery leads, providing financial insights that highlight risks, opportunities, and performance drivers
  • Coordinate with PMO, Delivery, Contract Management, and Controllership to support operational efficiency and transparent financial reporting
  • Support client invoicing deliverables and contractual financial reporting requirements
  • Act as the formal finance preparer for project setup in designated financial systems under applicable contract thresholds
  • Execute internal controls and apply AFS policies and procedures to ensure compliance and accurate financial outcomes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of forecasting, reporting, and financial management processes
