About The Position

Reporting to the Group Head of Finance Planning & Analysis, the Finance Business Partner will drive the financial performance and support strategic decision-making for Alter Domus’ Commercial function. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of sales operations and revenue generation and experience partnering with Executive leaders. Key responsibilities include: Act as a partner and trusted financial advisor to the Chief Commercial Officer and ensuring their financial targets are achieved. Work closely with the sales operations team to understand sales processes, performance metrics, and commercial activities, foster strong relationships with Commercial leaders to ensure alignment between finance and sales objectives. Monitor and report on commercial activities, providing insights into performance against targets. Develop dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales and revenue. Coordinate with the Business Intelligence (BI) team to leverage technical resources for data analysis and reporting. Ensure that financial data is accurately captured and reported. Drive the development of Commercial function annual budgets, producing a roadmap and critical path of key deliverables and activities throughout the year to establish a clear cadence around the planning, monitoring and reporting against the budgets. Analyse sales data to identify trends in products and services. Provide recommendations for strategic initiatives based on findings to drive growth and profitability. Provide value-added commentary and insights into the performance of the Commercial function from a finance and budget perspective on a monthly basis – including in the Monthly Reviews with the CEO and CFO, and presentations to the Global Executive Board and Supervisory Board – and ensure actions are taken to address any risks or areas of underperformance. Contribute to the annual 5-year strategic long-term plan. Assist in corporate activities relating to the raising or sale of equity or debt financing as required. Assist in the financial, tax and other due diligence of prospective acquisitions, and ensure that completed acquisitions are promptly and fully assimilated into the business and synergies realised. In collaboration with the Financial Control team, ensure a robust internal control environment and promptly address any internal or external audit recommendations pertaining to the Commercial Function. As a senior leader of Alter Domus, you will maintain a relentless focus on cost and budget discipline, driving a culture of accountability. Promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, ensuring that you and your team maintain the highest social and environmental responsibility and standards. Promote and build the Alter Domus brand and culture, acting as an ambassador and role model to our people, clients and customers. You will actively promote the Employer Value Proposition. Requirements

  • You will be a senior finance business partner or equivalent with 12+ years of experience in finance, consulting, corporate finance or accounting.
  • You will have a demonstrated track record in financial and commercial management, preferably gained in a complex and fast-growing international business.
  • Proven ability to apply corporate finance concepts to business decisions with experience that includes leadership in an accounting capacity, analysing financial information, business partnering and driving process efficiency.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to collaborate with internal and external parties.
  • Superb attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and BI tools.
  • You will be adept at managing competing demands on your time, actively prioritising and remaining calm under pressure while navigating complexity and challenges with confidence and resilience.
  • You will have a track-record of working autonomously but combined with strong partnering skills you will be adept at building internal networks to achieve your objectives.
  • You will possess intellectual curiosity and a global mind-set, flexing your style accordingly and operating with agility and tenacity.
  • You will have excellent judgement and commercial acumen combined with a high degree of personal discretion.
  • You will possess learning agility and an ability to adopt and champion new skills and ways of working.
