About The Position

We are seeking a Business Analyst with a Capital Market focus to join our team. This role involves requirement analysis and documentation, engaging with application teams moving to the Aperture platform to understand their analytical use-cases and business goals. You will facilitate information gathering sessions, document requirements, business use cases, feasibility analysis, and cross-functional diagrams. The position requires partnering with platform engineering teams to ensure technical capabilities and data requirements are understood, and identifying dependencies and integration points. You will also work with senior stakeholders to validate requirements and analysis, ensuring system specifications meet business expectations and negotiating solutions when appropriate. Additionally, this role involves data analysis, including analyzing incoming data sets, developing requirements for sourcing solutions, provisioning, and data transformations. You will decipher compliance and information security guidelines, apply them to datasets and business requirements, and identify data accuracy requirements, solution options, and remediation plans. Requirements

  • Strong business domain understanding of Financial Services/ Capital Markets
  • Excellent data analysis skills
  • Solid background dealing with complex software products (preferably cloud/ data analytics focused)
  • Ability to work independently, apply critical and strategic thinking to issues, and manage deadlines while multi-tasking amongst different priorities
  • 5+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst with progressively increasing responsibilities in the areas of requirements management on large and complex projects
  • Proven experience with various project delivery methodologies such as Waterfall, Iterative and/or Agile
  • Experience in requirements planning and prioritization including stakeholder analysis and effort estimation
  • Data analysis expertise (e.g., using SQL, Tableau, or Python)

Responsibilities

  • Engage and partner with QTS application teams moving onto the Aperture platform to understand their analytical use-cases/ business goals and confirm product fit
  • Facilitate information gathering sessions including leading discussions, managing group dynamics, and maintaining group focus, to work towards accomplishing the stated goal(s) of the session within the context of the project objectives
  • Gather requirements and document them, along with business use cases, feasibility analysis and cross functional diagrams as needed
  • Partner with the platform engineering teams to ensure technical capabilities and data requirements are well understood, identify dependencies and integration points
  • Work with senior stakeholders to validate their requirements and analysis via techniques such as reviews and walkthroughs and ensure system specifications meet the business stakeholders’ expectations/requirements, and negotiate solutions when appropriate
  • Analyze incoming data sets and develop detailed requirements around sourcing solutions, identify provisioning requirements, data transformations etc.
  • Decipher compliance, information security guidelines and apply them in the context of the datasets/ business requirements
  • Identify data accuracy requirements, solution options and remediation plans in case of a breach
