About The Position

At Red Hat, our interns are an integral part of the team. They don’t get relegated to busywork or unimportant tasks, but participate in the day-to-day work and are active contributors to their team. We are currently looking for Finance Business Analyst interns to join us in Raleigh. You will work closely with a senior mentor to gain financial, technical and analytical knowledge, and collaborate with a broader international finance team. In this role you will apply financial data management and analysis techniques to assess the health, performance, and sustainability of key initiatives. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with financial analysts, data scientists, and finance operations teams to gain valuable insights into how financial models and data-driven strategies impact our business. You'll also collaborate with finance stakeholders to deliver timely reports on financial performance and key metrics to support Red Hat's financial planning and decision-making. The focus for Red Hat's Intern Program is a dual partnership between the Emerging Talent Team, and our intern managers. Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to manage tasks, meet deadlines and analyze data to foster data-driven decisions
• Ability to effectively establish and maintain communication with both internal and external stakeholders
• Strong organizational and logistical skills
• Passion, curiosity, and desire to create new things and examine how things work internally
• Willingness to learn and proactively work as a part of a wider team
• Must have the ability to work without a need for current or future visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Collect and document input from internal finance teams, Red Hat customers, and stakeholders to understand customer needs and requirements.
• Conduct competitive analysis by researching financial performance and metrics of competitors, documenting insights on strengths and weaknesses.
• Develop and prioritize financial requirements, performance metrics, and strategic insights.
• Translate key findings into visualized presentations and reports for decision-makers.
• Network with other talented interns in a workplace where you can be yourself and thrive
