About The Position

Tucker Ellis LLP is seeking an experienced Finance Attorney to join their growing Finance practice group in their Atlanta office. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on sophisticated financing transactions in a collaborative, client-focused environment that values both professional growth and work-life balance. As the finance practice expands in Atlanta, the firm is looking for a talented attorney with strong experience in commercial finance and/or real estate finance transactions. Ideal candidates will have experience representing lenders, borrowers, developers, or investors in complex financing matters, along with a modest portable book of business. The firm is seeking candidates who bring strong client relationships that can be further developed and expanded within the firm’s platform. This role offers the opportunity to join a dynamic and entrepreneurial team with the support and resources of an Am Law 200 firm.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in commercial finance, banking, lending, and/or real estate finance transactions
  • Modest portable book of business preferred, with established client relationships that present opportunities for continued growth
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage complex transactions independently and efficiently
  • Admission to practice in Georgia

Responsibilities

  • Represent financial institutions, private lenders, borrowers, developers, and investors in a wide range of financing transactions, including secured and unsecured credit facilities and real estate financings
  • Draft, review, and negotiate loan agreements, credit agreements, security documents, intercreditor agreements, and related financing documents
  • Advise clients on acquisition financing, asset-based lending, real estate finance, and general corporate lending matters
  • Conduct and manage due diligence, including review of corporate structure, collateral, title, and regulatory considerations
  • Collaborate with attorneys across complementary practice areas, including corporate, real estate, tax, and restructuring
  • Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice to clients in fast-paced transactional environments
  • Participate in client development initiatives and contribute to the continued growth of the firm’s finance and real estate capabilities in the Chicago market
