Requirements

  • Bachelors degree
  • 3 years of progressive experience working within healthcare finance, financial planning and analysis, and/or physician practice financial operations
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, scenario analysis)
  • Strong understanding of: operating & capital budgeting, variance analysis, contribution margin and service line profitability, physician compensation models, and net revenue modeling and reimbursement concepts
  • Possess superb interpersonal skills and interact effectively with others
  • Ability to synthesize information to see the big picture while effectively managing smaller details
  • Ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for clinical and operational leaders
  • Strong communication skills; comfortable presenting to physicians and senior leadership
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and data integrity

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, analyze, and monitor budgets and budget-to-actual variance analyses, identifying drivers related to volume fluctuations, payer mix shifts, revenue cycle, regulatory changes, and clinical operations.
  • Conduct pro forma analyses and ROI evaluations for new programs, provider recruitment, capital investments, and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Support leadership with financial analysis and practice management initiatives related to both private and employed medical staff.
  • Lead and contribute to ad hoc financial analyses, special projects, and strategic initiatives as assigned.
