About The Position

As Private Cloud Finance and Procurement Director, the candidate will lead finance, procurement, and commercial operations for a private cloud account environment. This role requires a proven record of success managing account financials, procurement governance, vendor engagement, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and cost optimization in complex technology services environments. The Director will partner closely with account leadership, delivery teams, procurement stakeholders, and customer representatives to align financial performance, sourcing decisions, cash management, and operational controls with business objectives. The Private Cloud Finance and Procurement Director will have a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Account Director.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, supply chain, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • At least 8 of experience in finance, procurement, commercial operations, or account financial management, preferably supporting technology, cloud, infrastructure, or managed services environments
  • US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning and analysis, accounting coordination, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and procurement oversight for private cloud services delivery
  • Support senior leadership on financial management, including cash position, margin performance, revenue tracking, cost controls, and business objective achievement
  • Lead tracking of orders, sales, backlog, purchase orders, vendor commitments, and procurement milestones on a recurring basis
  • Prepare and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial forecasts, financial reporting packages, procurement status updates, and actual performance against plan
  • Provide quarterly profit margin analysis and advise leadership on actionable recommendations to improve margin performance, cost efficiency, and account profitability
  • Prepare and distribute monthly financial reporting, including balance sheet, income statement, account performance, and procurement-related reporting
  • Ensure appropriate accounting standards, procurement controls, approval processes, and reporting requirements are followed in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, customer, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices, including tax laws, generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), federal acquisition regulations (FAR), cost accounting standards (CAS), and applicable procurement policies
  • Organize and lead accounts payable, purchase order tracking, vendor invoice coordination, and cash management activities with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Lead engagement with external auditors, procurement reviewers, and customer-facing stakeholders for financial, sourcing, and compliance reviews
  • Partner with insurance providers, risk teams, and contract stakeholders to support appropriate coverage and risk management across the business
  • Develop and implement operating systems, controls, and processes to optimize finance, procurement, vendor management, and account business operations
  • Perform other duties as required
