Finance and Collections Manager: Analyze forecasting data to improve business decisions; prepare financial reports, statements, and forecasts; ensure financial activities follow legal rules; lead the team that handles financial reporting; review reports to find ways to save money; study market trends to help grow the business and increase profits; support management in making smart financial choices; build good relationships and solve problems before they grow; help hire new team members for the finance department; compare spending to the budget to stay on track; train new finance team members; lead team in a weekly huddle to plan and coordinate the work for the week, deliver training, keep their team informed of any new updates and to receive feedback from each team member; conduct billing training for doctors, office managers and other departments; run and review reports; conduct weekly team lead meetings to obtain status of payments, claims, appeals, reports and concerns about the teams; respond to questions via phone or e-mail about appeals from doctors, team members, office managers, and Financial Advisors; meet with insurance representatives to resolve concerns regarding claims and payments; oversees the work and provides feedback to team members regarding the quality of their work; assist team with processing appeals, account clean up and reports as needed; assist in new employee orientation and continuing education for all staff; implement and monitor billing office procedures and address systematic problems quickly; maintain a dialogue and working knowledge with all third party payors; attend all mandatory company in-services and staff development activities as scheduled; support company-wide quality/performance improvement goals and objectives; maintain confidentiality of company employees and patient information; and perform additional duties as assigned.
