About The Position

AMD is seeking a highly motivated Finance Analyst to join the Global Operations & Quality (GOQ) Finance team. This role supports business partnership, financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and controllership activities across manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will partner closely with Global Operations, Corporate Finance, Accounting, Treasury, and business leaders to deliver financial insights, improve processes, and support executive decision-making. This position plays a key role in managing manufacturing spend, capital expenditure reporting, forecast consolidation, and financial analysis supporting AMD's operational and gross margin objectives.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
Demonstrated, progressive FP&A, finance, or accounting experience.
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience working with large datasets and financial reporting systems.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and close processes.

Nice To Haves

MBA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent advanced certification a plus
Experience with SAP, S/4HANA, Power BI, Snowflake, or similar enterprise systems.
Semiconductor, manufacturing, operations finance, or supply chain finance experience.
Proven track record of automation and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead monthly and quarterly financial close activities for assigned functional areas.
Prepare and consolidate forecasts, budgets, and long-range planning assumptions.
Support capital expenditure planning, tracking, reporting, and variance analysis.
Analyze departmental spending and provide actionable insights to business partners.
Perform financial modeling and scenario analysis to support operational decision-making.
Support COGS analysis, cost modeling, and gross margin reporting.
Consolidate operational forecasts and financial metrics across multiple organizations.
Develop and maintain automated reporting solutions using Power BI, SAP, Excel, and other analytics tools.
Partner with Accounting and Controllership teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with internal controls.
Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Prepare executive-level presentations and management reporting packages.
Support ad hoc financial analyses and special projects for senior leadership.
