About The Position

US Tech Solutions is a global staff augmentation firm providing a wide range of talent on-demand and total workforce solutions. This role is for a Finance Analyst with a duration of a 12-month contract. The analyst will provide advice on highly complex audit matters, participate in large-scale business projects, and supervise/train other staff while developing financial models. They will make decisions and recommendations on highly technical or complex issues, interpreting policy in the absence of formal guidelines. The role also involves providing finance and accounting support for potential acquisitions and major projects, including reviewing data room material, identifying financial accounting issues and their reporting impact under various statutory accounting practices (e.g., US GAAP), and reviewing financial models for accuracy and appropriate accounting treatment. Additionally, the analyst will assist Energy Accounting, Pipeline Accounting, and Financial Reporting groups with financial research and analysis for special projects and financial statement reviews.

Requirements

  • Finance or Accounting Designation Required (CFA, CPA, Etc.).
  • 10 to 15 years of experience.
  • Undergraduate degree in business, finance or related discipline required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides advice on highly complex audit matters and participates in large-scale business projects typically on an area of expertise.
  • Supervise and provide direction and training to other staff while developing financial models.
  • Make decisions and recommendations on highly technical or complex issues.
  • In the absence of formal guidelines or precedents and exercises resourcefulness and ingenuity to interpret policy.
  • Provide finance and accounting support for potential acquisitions and or ongoing major projects.
  • Reviewing data room material, identifying potential financial accounting issues, financial reporting impact of these issues under various acceptable statutory accounting practices (e.g. US GAAP) as well as reviewing financial models to ensure appropriate presentation of accounting treatment and accuracy of financial models
  • Assist the Energy Accounting, Pipeline Accounting and Financial Reporting groups with financial research and analysis for special projects as well as financial statement review
