About The Position

Contribute to the Anaplan Center of Excellence organization by supporting best practice development, participating in proof-of-concepts, and bringing fresh ideas to the team. Execute manual updates and Anaplan model updates based on incoming requests, with guidance from senior team members as needed. Support requirements gathering for small to medium-sized requests, working with users to understand underlying needs and document potential solutions. Collaborate with technical team members to complete these items and maintain communication with stakeholders throughout. Test routine updates and enhancements to ensure necessary functionality continues to work and remains user-friendly. Assist with training, documentation, tracking, prioritization, and delivery of Anaplan implementation tasks. Participate in the development of Proof of Concept models to demonstrate Anaplan capabilities in real-world scenarios. Develop, enhance, maintain, and support the accuracy of Anaplan-based models and dashboards under the direction of senior COE team members. Build understanding of business processes and contribute to solutions that improve functionality, user experience, and data quality within Anaplan. Troubleshoot issues and escalate where necessary. Stay current on Anaplan platform updates and related systems, as well as industry best practices in data modeling, planning, and process definition. Develop working knowledge of the existing Anaplan ecosystem, including model structure and configuration. Collaborate closely with COE team members to align with Greystar best build practices, model management standards, and project roadmapping. Build familiarity with Anaplan data sources, including Greystar operational and financial data and connecting systems. Support ad-hoc analysis and issue resolution by applying Anaplan model knowledge to emerging business questions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (IT or technical-related degree preferred).
  • Anaplan Certified Model Builder certification (Level 1 and Level 2) required. Candidates actively pursuing certification at time of application will be considered.
  • 1-2 years of hands-on experience with Anaplan model building. Candidates with equivalent exposure through academic projects, internships, or structured training programs will be considered.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including spreadsheet modeling, pivot tables, formulas, and charts.
  • Experience supporting end-users, resolving helpdesk or support requests, and basic incident management.
  • Proficiency in English with the ability to communicate technical topics clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Solid problem-solving skills with a solutions-oriented approach and a desire to understand root causes.
  • Ability to communicate clearly about technical work, including translating model behavior or data issues into plain language for stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working with direction and feedback from senior team members while developing independent judgment over time.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Inclusive and collaborative by nature, contributing to a team environment where ideas are shared openly.
  • Ability to manage and sort large volumes of data in Excel.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of accounting, finance, or FP&A concepts, with an interest in translating those into effective Anaplan solutions.
  • Demonstrates an automation-focused mindset, actively looking for opportunities to streamline manual processes and improve solution scalability.

Nice To Haves

  • Foundational familiarity with Anaplan integrations (e.g., Anaplan Connect, APIs) is a plus; willingness to develop this knowledge is expected.
  • Exposure to Lean or Agile working environments is a plus.
  • ETL tool experience is preferred but not required.
