About The Position

Saskatoon Co-op is seeking a Finance Admin Rep II to join their team. This role reports to the Controller and is responsible for various financial administrative tasks, including following up on outstanding purchases and transfers, supporting margin transaction reviews, assisting with budget preparation, reconciling general ledgers, and supporting audits. The position also involves training team members, providing coverage for accounts payable, and updating process documentation. Saskatoon Co-op is a member-owned organization focused on serving its members and communities with a wide range of products and services.

Requirements

  • SIAST or SK Polytech Accounting Certificate or equivalent
  • Proven extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook and Excel Level I & II
  • 3-5 years finance department recap and finance department reconciliation experience (or equivalent)
  • Proven familiarity with current internal financial systems and processes

Responsibilities

  • Follow up weekly for outstanding purchases and merchandise transfers, working closely with locations
  • Support and monitor the review and follow up of outstanding individual margin transactions
  • Assist in budget preparation process as required
  • Reconcile general ledgers, as assigned
  • Work effectively with team members and team leaders, with focus on clear and consistent communication
  • Support the identification of monthly team task assignments as identified from the Controller
  • Assist with internal and external audits as required
  • Support Finance Specialist in training team members
  • Support recap and accounts payable team with coverage
  • Adapt/update process documentation
  • Other duties as assigned
