About The Position

This is a Finance & Accounting (F&A) summer internship opportunity that will provide exposure to various F&A functions. The intern will rotate through the F&A organization spending approximately two weeks in each department including Financial Reporting, Investor Relations, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Business Development, and Internal Controls.

Requirements

Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program with a focus on Finance or other relevant field.
Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and handle multiple tasks successfully.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong skills with Microsoft Office suite.
Ability to develop effective working relationships.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance.

Responsibilities

Support Finance & Accounting leadership with operational tasks and special projects, as available, to build business acumen and exposure.
Support accounts payable, cash disbursements processing, accounts receivable, cash receipts processing, and payroll processing or coordination.
Assist with multiple accounting functions.
Complete non-complex account reconciliations to be reviewed by Finance leadership.
Work as a team member in meeting the needs of the office staff, leaders, and customers.
Provide excellent customer service to help customers and staff reach their goals.
Evaluate current systems and procedures and make process improvement suggestions, including the use of AI.
