About The Position

The Finance & Accounting Intern will work under the guidance of the Controller to support the daily financial operations of the organization. This internship offers hands-on exposure to accounting processes, financial reporting, and operational support functions, providing a well-rounded experience for students pursuing a career in finance or accounting.

Requirements

• Must have minimum of high school diploma or GED
• Currently enrolled in or recently completed Accounting or Business Degree at an accredited institution
• Strong technology skills are required
• Must be knowledgeable with Microsoft Office products

Nice To Haves

• Experience with current accounting software is preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist finance personnel with record retention initiatives, specifically supporting the transition to SharePoint
• Prepare or assist in assigned account analysis in the month end accounting close
• Support inventory management and warehouse logistics
• Support payroll department with corrections and managing inbox inquiries
• Support accounts payable with vendor maintenance, invoice entry and procurement transaction research
• Assist in developing campus budget model utilizing technology to improve efficiency, accuracy and consistency in the model application
• Ad hoc management reports and analysis as assigned
• Scanning, copying and other administrative duties as assigned
