About The Position
Carolina Handling is a total automated warehouse solutions provider specializing in turnkey solutions for warehouses, distribution centers, manufacturers, and other industries needing warehouse solutions. Their products and solutions help customers move material faster and more efficiently through automation equipment and technologies. Carolina Handling is also the largest certified Raymond dealer in the southeast for material handling equipment sales and service, operating under the Toyota umbrella of North America (TINA). The internship program is designed to provide students with corporate world experience. Each intern will be assigned a department-level project for the summer focused on improving a specific process within their department. The ten-week program includes networking opportunities, roundtables, and business acumen training. Projects are scoped as tangible tasks or processes that interns can reasonably complete in approximately 8-10 weeks. Final project details will be provided on the first day of the internship.
Requirements
- Comfortable working with financial and operational data to spot trends and gaps.
- Familiar with or eager to learn Excel, Power Query, and Power BI for dashboard/reporting development.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Interest in building tools and frameworks others can use.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Finance and Accounting Teams to strengthen operational reporting.
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Build standardized KPI dashboards/scorecards.
- Develop a reusable reporting framework.
- Gain hands-on exposure to Power Query, Excel, and Power BI.
