In a team-oriented work environment, install parts and components, lines, cables, etc. in the area assigned using required tools and appropriate prints, specs, and operational requirements to complete work assigned through final inspection and assure conformance to specifications. This role involves assembling, installing, and adjusting aircraft structure parts and system components, rigging control cables, sectors, linkages, control surfaces, landing gear and doors, engines, cowls, aircraft entry doors, and associated parts and hardware. It also includes removing and replacing linkage, sectors, components, cutting and fitting system lines and associated hardware for basic repairs. The mechanic is responsible for the quality and efficiency of all installations, ensuring parts and assemblies meet requirements, and performing necessary rework. They will install systems lines, valves, ducts, and associated parts and hardware, working to ensure a leak-free system. A variety of tools and equipment will be used, including permaswage pumps, dies, line cutting tools, wrenches, checking tools, and witness gauges. The role also involves updating and signing required logs and records, maintaining a neat and orderly work area, supporting FOD and 5S programs, and complying with safety regulations. Additional duties may include flight tests for aircraft certification and final phase testing.
