About The Position

Ensure finished products meet quality standards, engineering specifications, and customer requirements. Conduct inspections on welded and machined products to verify compliance with acceptance criteria. Accurately document inspection results and report non-conformances. Support production operations by communicating inspection findings and quality concerns. Promote a safe work environment by adhering to all NOV, Quality, and HSE policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must achieve a minimum score of 80% on a basic math and reading comprehension assessment.
  • Basic computer skills required for data entry, reporting, and documentation.
  • Must successfully pass an Industrial Eye Exam, including near visual acuity requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection criteria.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, pit gauges, and tape measures.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding manufacturing environment and perform extended periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform final inspections on welded and machined products according to established procedures and specifications.
  • Interpret inspection results and communicate findings effectively to production personnel.
  • Record the number of welded or machined ends inspected and document specific non-conformances for daily reporting.
  • Serialize materials using a hammer and steel stamps as required.
  • Read and interpret product drawings, specifications, and acceptance criteria.
  • Use precision measuring equipment including dial calipers, micrometers, pit gauges, tape measures, and other inspection tools.
  • Verify product dimensions and quality characteristics to determine product acceptance.
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation.
  • Perform extensive walking, standing, bending, stooping, and moderate to heavy lifting throughout 8–12 hour shifts.
  • Work safely in both indoor manufacturing environments and outdoor conditions, including varying weather conditions.
  • Comply with all NOV, Quality, and HSE policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
