About The Position

Summit Anaheim currently has an open position for Final Inspector (2nd shift). Summit Interconnect is a manufacturer of advanced technology printed circuit boards with a specific focus on complex rigid and rigid-flex product with unique expertise in RF/Microwave applications. The Final Inspector is responsible for inspection of product after processes and at final inspection. This position requires attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to read and understand technical requirements of the traveler and blueprint.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ in the printed circuit board industry.
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactory.
  • Knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Three (3) year minimum PWB experience.
  • Experience completing Quality Documentation.
  • Must have very good concentration, must be able remain focused with minor interruptions.
  • Compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. lawful permanent resident (e.g., "Green Card" holder), asylee, or refugee as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

Responsibilities

  • Read, understand, and interpret travelers and drawings provided to assess requirements and special instructions required for jobs.
  • Inspects product to determine compliance with order specifications and the inspection checklist for conformity to specified standards.
  • Experience inspecting Flex-Rigid PWBs.
  • Rework experience.
  • Inspects product under magnifying tool for opens and shorts in circuit patterns.
  • Compares size and location of holes to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Views inside of holes to detect voids or irregular surfaces.
  • Identifies non-conforming product and its disposition.
  • Stamps mark of approval or rejection on product or traveler.
  • Logs job in and out with accurate counts of product.
  • Records yield data and completes scrap report forms.
  • Stacks finished boards with separator sheets for transfer to next workstation.
  • Perform other department or company-related tasks at the direction of the department Supervisor.
