About The Position

Final Assembly technicians are experts in the installation of hardware and electronics on all our guitar models. They have a complete understanding of how our guitars are assembled according to our internal specifications. They also have a thorough understanding of signal flow as it pertains to a variety of vintage and modern pickup configurations.

Requirements

Previous experience working with hand, power, or pneumatic tools.
Strong attention to detail.
Teamwork and project management skills combined with ability to work as part of a team.
Flexibility to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.
Able to proactively question and challenge to prioritize and identify solutions in timely manner.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working on guitars greatly preferred.
Results oriented and driven, with a track record for delivering to plan.

Responsibilities

The installation of guitar hardware and electronics.
Ensuring that each guitar is built according to the correct internal design specifications.
Monitoring the flow of guitars, parts, and other materials throughout the department and facility.
Cleaning fully built guitars such that they are pristine and free of any residue or cosmetic blemishes.
Packing completed guitars and transferring them into the distribution center.
Maintaining a safe and clean workspace consistent with our 5S standards.
Adherence to the Gibson Cardinal Safety Rules as per the Gibson Playbook for Cardinal Safety Rules and General Safety Rules
Obligation to submit Safety observations for identified hazards using the safety observation QR code
Support the comprehensive Safety Management System (SMS) to ensure a safe work environment, maintain compliance with regulations, and improvement of our safety processes
Other duties as assigned.
