Fin Tube Machine Operator Weekday Nights
About The Position
The Fin Tube Machine Operator is responsible for safely setting up and operating the McElroy 6S finning machine. Essential functions include: Individually operate the McElroy 6S finning machine Understand the difference and able to fabricate various wrap on and embedded finned tubes Construct fin tubes by reading blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and related technical data Determine tooling requirements, set up procedures, control settings, finning methods and sequences necessary to properly run the machine (examples include regulating speed, feed, and coolant flow, observing / listening to machine operation to detect malfunctions). Measure parts using different measuring tools (tape measure, dial calipers, dial indicators, micrometers) Operate overhead cranes on daily basis to load machine Occasionally operate forklifts Occasionally assist in loading and unloading trucks by way of forklift and overhead crane Understand and meet production quotas Clean and maintain machines at end of shift and report problems to management
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Ability to read prints for both required specifications as well as dimensions
- Ability to be a self-motivated and highly productive employee who requires moderate supervision and who can efficiently execute a plan to make jobs happen on time within the hours given
- Ability to consistently maintain less than a 1% finned tube failure rate
- Ability to be punctual and dependent with a willingness to work hours outside of a standard schedule when required to achieve a task or complete a project
- Ability to be a team player and be a company-oriented individual who takes pride in their work
- Must be a highly safety-oriented individual
Nice To Haves
- 2 years of McElroy finning machine experience highly preferred
