  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field preferred, and three to five years of related experience in filtration systems, chip processing, conveyors, machine tool applications, metalworking fluids, basic pneumatics, or engineered industrial equipment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault, Microsoft Office applications, and ERP or CRM systems as required.
  • Experience reviewing technical drawings, layouts, and bills of material preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews customer specifications, application data, layouts, drawings, and process requirements to recommend appropriate filtration and chip processing solutions.
  • Develops application concepts and equipment selections for coolant filtration systems, central systems, chip conveyors, shredders, crushers, wringers, compactors, and related auxiliary equipment.
  • Performs engineering calculations and technical evaluations related to flow rates, filtration requirements, chip type and volume, system sizing, coolant recovery, and equipment performance.
  • Prepares and reviews layouts, proposals, cost estimates, bills of material, technical documentation, and project requirements to support sales and customer commitments.
  • Works with Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Sales, and Service teams to ensure filtration and chip processing systems are properly designed, quoted, built, tested, installed, and supported.
  • Provides technical support and troubleshooting for equipment performance, customer questions, field issues, start-ups, run-offs, and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Evaluates customer processes and recommends changes that reduce coolant usage, improve chip handling, increase machine uptime, support environmental compliance, and improve overall system value.
  • Assists with new product development, product improvements, testing, documentation updates, and standardization efforts for filtration and chip processing equipment.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, representatives, and internal departments regarding technical requirements, project status, and issue resolution.
  • Participates in customer visits, vendor meetings, trade shows, training, and occasional travel as needed to support application review, installation, troubleshooting, or product development.
